The big Wu rip off

We went to see the supposedly last show of the Wu-Tang Clan earlier this year. Oh my, what a disappointment and, to be frank, what a rip off.

The sound was complete shit. I could have done a better job, I have no idea how someone who supposedly does this for a living managed to ruin the live sound. I was hopeful at first, they had some live musicians on stage as well, which usually is a good thing. But they’d probably have been better off by just doing playback. Everybody would have been better off staying at home and listening to the tracks on their own stereo.

But hey, what about the live experience? Well. They actually advertisement breaks, several of them. Wtf?!?!?! Disgusting. Charge fans 100s of Euros for a ticket and then have more ad breaks than live music? Fuck off. As a bonus minus, lots of idiot smokers around, that was the straw that broke the camel’s back and ruined it completely for me. So sad. But hey, they got one last big payday I suppose, good for them.
