France 2023 – Pâtisserie Rugby World Cup. Had been looking forward to this for four years! As we all know, pleasure is usually only achieved through hard work. So I decided to sacrifice myself and tested each and every pâtisserie in Paris and Lyon to ensure ongoing excellence etc. blahvlah bullshit bingo. Who cares? There’s so many great pâtisseurs in France so this was an opportunity not to be missed. Highlights: Alma in Lyon and Chocolat Illéné and Coco Bello in Montmartre. Truly delicious and wonderful creations! 🙂

Lowlights: All you disgusting cruel stupid fuckers using foie gras. Yes, there are chocolatiers and pâtisseurs using this. I was so looking forward to visiting Bernachon in Lyon – but when I stood in front of the store and looked at the menu, I saw that it had foie gras on it. So I left. I think they should all be captured, have their arseholes sealed shut and be fed to death. Disgusting fuckers. Hope you lose your quarter final against the Saffers. Anyway, enough others out there that produce great stuff and it would have been a crime not to visit all of them – so I did. Enjoy the pics. 🙂

But wait! What about le rugby? Oui, that also happened. All Blacks vs Italy, 96-17. A sound thrashing, great game to watch, lots of fun. 🙂

We also spend a bit of time in Lyon and Paris, enjoying the weather and the sights. Lyon is such a lovely place.
